Name says it all doesn’t it?

LA Marathon completed!

I finished Los Angeles Marathon yesterday in the time of 03:48:26. It was definitely not what I had hoped for but alright taking into account I was dehydrated and ran with a slight fever in a pounding 28 degrees (that’s 82 to you Americans) of heat with no hope for clouds or rain. Of course I didn’t bother looking at the weather forecast the night before so the dumba** here didn’t put sunblock on which gave me a mean as hell sunburn. So all in all it was pretty much 4 hours in pure and utter hell. But I completed an made a new PR by around 6 minutes so I guess I shouldn’t be complaining. I finished overall as number 1041 out of a total of 24736.

Now let’s see what I can run next. :0)

Bikram Yoga

So B & I started doing Bikram Yoga a couple of weeks ago at Bikram Yoga OC and even though I was skeptical at first it has really turned me. All in all it’s a special kind of yoga where you do 26 poses and some breathing exercises in a 40-45 degree hot room (that’s about 105 to you Americans) for about 90 minutes.

It gives a tremendous form of well being after class and is helping me be much more flexible in my running.

If there’s a studio near you, you should give it a try.

Long Beach 1/2 Marathon

Finished Long Beach 1/2 Marathon today. It was a beautiful day at the beach but the legs unfortunately weren’t up for top performance. Finished in 1:39:26 which isn’t the worst I’ve ever done and I was actually still in the top 5%. Results and placement can be found at runpix.net or by clicking this direct link to my results.

Broloppet 2006

Woot!

Completed the last brolop ever! I’m really psyched that I got to try it on before it was too late. Such a beautiful run. Running under the pylons on the Øresund brigde (it’s the 2′nd longest in the world) was the most extraordinary experience ever. It was a ½ marathon where 8 km was on the cable supended bridge. I simply couldn’t run fast as it was too amazing an experience so I took it slow and enjoyed the entire trip.

Completion time was 2:32:02 which is somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Frederiksberg Natløb 2006

WOW! I can’t believe how many races I’m attending at the moment.

Completed the annual Frederiksberg Natløb with my girlfriend and a couple of friends. It’s a really cool race at night and the route goes through Copenhagen Zoo.

Completede the 10 km in a steady (but not very fast) 1:06:56. In my defense I was running with a terrible hangover and a stomach full of sushi. Probably not the very best combo to go running on.

Official results here (search for kayser and I’ll pop up)

Pulsløbet 2006

Completed the annual Pulsløb in Bernstorffsparken, Copenhagen.

Came in on a very, very good 9th place out of a total 186 runners.

It was a 6 km race and my completion time was 24:28 (about 4:04 pr. km)

Happy :0D

Copenhagen Marathon 2006

Allright!

I completed Copenhagen Marathon 2006 on May 21, 2006.

It was my first marathon ever so I’m very happy that I completed even though I’ve aquired a couple of blue toes in the process.

My completion time was 03:54:33 (that’s about 5:34 minute/km) which I think is pretty good taking into account it was my first marathon ever (I came in on a respectable 2207 place out of a total 5012).

A marathon by the way is 42195 meters aka 42.195 km aka 26.2 miles

One thing that’s for sure is that it’ll definitely not be my last :0D

Nike marathon test 3

Whoopie!

I almost forgot to say that I completed Sparta’s Nike marathontest 3 on April 23, 2006.

It was a ½ marathon test run for the real Copenhagen Marathon coming up on May 21, 2006 (that’s 21.1 km aka 13.1 miles to you Americans).

My completion time was 01:44:06 which I think is pretty good considering it was my first ½ marathon (I came in on a respectable 492 place out of a total 947).
