We checked out of the hotel, said goodbye to Eric and Adrian and drove of towards the Grand Canyon. We were there late at night and had luckily gotten the last camp ground at the North Rim. We put up the tents for the first time in complete and utter darkness but everything went pretty smooth even in spite of this.

Roadtrip - Day 03
The girls tanned at the pool again while I just hung around the hotel. I had gotten food poisoning from some shrimp we ate so I wasn’t feeling to well, pretty nauseus all day actually. It sucked! At night Ditte, Benedicte, Maria and me went to see the Folies Bergere show at the Tropicana. It was cool to see a real classical Vegas show. After that we went to the nightclub Jet to have some fun but I ended up being to sick because of the food poisoning so me and the girls went back to the hotel.
Roadtrip - Day 02
Ditte & Benedicte were tanning at the pool at the hotel in 47 degrees (117 fahrenheit). It was absolutely scolding. I could only sit there for about 20 minutes before I felt like my skin was going to melt off.
Later that afternoon the girls went to strip school at Planet Hollywood which I had bought for them. They had a lot of fun and even got certified as real Vegas strippers.
Roadtrip - Day 01
B and I picked up Ditte as she arrived in LAX. We hopped in the car after she had gotten through the immense lines at immigration and drove straight to Las Vegas. We had planned to meet up with with Eric, Maria and Adrian in Vegas that same night. After 4 hours of driving we arrived at the Luxor which we had booked as a surprise for Ditte. We met up with the other guys as soon as we had gotten ready in our room. We went to a bunch of places in Vegas but ended up in Paris, which is shaped like the Eiffel tower, where we drank a lot of Incredible Hulks (1/2 Hennessy cognac and 1/2 Hpnotiq). Ditte ended up riding a paper mache horse at 8 in the morning. It was a crazy night and we had a ton of fun.
Kirstine’s birthday at the Viper Room
Last night B, Kirstine, Maria and I went downtown for a night on the town since it was Kirstine’s birthday. We went to the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard and had a blast. There was some excellent live music playing (The Daylights) and a lot of funky characters. We pretty much stayed until they closed and kicked us out. It was really very cool and in some ways close to being at a good club in Copenhagen. A lot of fun (especially for American standards).
Firing range with Eric
Eric and me went to the gun range with one of Eric’s friends who’s trying to become a DEA agent. I had never shot a real 9mm handgun before so I figured it’d be fun. Me and Eric went down to our local gun store and bought 200 rounds of 9mm ammo which we brought to the range. Dave showed us how to handle the gun securely and safely so we wouldn’t shoot anyone by accident. Dave had a Sig Sauer P226 which we shot. I was amazed at the power such a weapon has, it was pretty scary shooting it at first but after the first few mags we got the hang of it and Dave was actually pretty impressed about our skills since neither of us had shot a real gun before. All in all it was a lot of fun even though I’m 100% certain that I’ll never own a gun in my life.
Visit from Denmark
Last week my friend from elementary school was here. We did a whole ton of stuff. First of all we went to Solvang which is an old Danish colony and we stayed at a friend, Adrian’s house which is in Solvang. It’s wine country up there so we obviously had to go wine tasting. We went to Huntington Library which was beautiful but the weather that day was almost unbearable because it was so hot. We still had an excellent time and at night we went to old town in Pasadena where we relaxed and ate some great food at a tapas place called Barcelona. Also Jens got his first ice cream from Coldstones Creamery which is an experience.
We also went Universal Studios in Hollywood which actually was a lot of fun since there weren’t hardly any people. A lot of the rides were pretty old school but still fun to see since they were from movies that was popular when we were kids. I did though loose my cellphone on the Mummy ride which really sucked!!!
Other than those highlights we went for a walk from Santa Monica pier down to Venice beach in the beatiful afternoon sun, saw Hollywood Boulevard (again).
We were really sad to see Jens leave but cherish the awesome time we had while he was here.
Palm Springs and Kingsburg

In the last two weeks we’ve been doing a lot of stuff. Since I quit my job we’ve had time to see so many cool things. First of all we went to Palm Springs with 2 of our friends, Eric and Maria for 3 days. Eric’s grandparents own an insanely nice house which is huge and has direct access to a nice pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, golf course and a beautiful garden. We had a great time there just relaxing by the pool and drinking champagne in the jacuzzi at night. Overall we had an excellent time.
Next off we went to Kingsburg in the Central Valley for 5 days with Maria and Kirstine to visit our friends Andrew and Tyler who are from that area. When we got there Andrew’s parents had prepared an awesome barbeque for us. So we chilled by the pool and ate some great food. The next day we went with Andrew and the other girls to Sequoia National Park and saw the largest living things/trees in the world. So insane! The day after we got up at 3:30 am so we could drive to Yosemite National Park. We were going to climb Half Dome which was a very long but extremely beautiful hike, about 17 miles or 28 km with an elevation of 8,836 ft (2,693 m). The hike up took about 5 hours and was uphill all the way. When we finally got to the top there was sooo many people we couldn’t believe it. The line from Quarter Dome all the way up to Half Dome was lined like ants. It was a spectacle to see and we have some great photos of it in the gallery. We hiked down and drove home around 7 pm. A crazy and intense day but extremely gratifying. Simply beautiful. We were pretty beat after the hike so the next day we went floating down the local river. Imagine 2 cases of beer in an ice cooler, 5 small rafts, a slow steady stream, excellent weather and just a plain old lot of fun. That was pretty much what we did the 4 hours it took us to get down the river. After we got a shore we went home to Andrew’s house and had some more beers and hung out till late. After those intense days we decided to just relax the last day and see a little of Kingsburg. We went and saw Andrew’s family’s farm where they grow peaches, nectarines and all sorts of other stuff. We saw the entire factory which was very impressive. After that we had a superior ice cream and in the afternoon we met up with Wes and Craig. Wes cooked an incredible meal for us all. Neither of us could believe that guy didn’t want to be a cook because his food was mind blowing. Easily the best meal we’ve had this entire last year. It even beats all the restaurant’s we’ve been too. Wow! Unfortunately the next day it was time to drive home, but it had to come. Such a cool trip though.
Check out the massive picture update in the gallery.
Blatant self promotion
By coincidence I found a video of myself on YouTube today. Very strange indeed. It’s from the Dior Homme Follow Me show - Spring 2003 in Paris. Design by Hedi Slimane
Ante Up
A very good friend of ours from my old college has just put up a trailer for his first feature film. The movie is called Ante Up and will be premiering at Walt Disney Studios in the end of may 2007. Check out the trailer below.
There’s also a MySpace page for the movie: www.myspace.com/anteupmovie
I can’t wait to go see it. It’ll be loads of fun.
